Staatliche Graphische Sammlung München
Staatliche Graphische Sammlung München houses the most significant German public collection of drawings and print graphics outside the Berlin and Dresden institutes. Worldwide it is one of the leading collections of graphic works. Its inventory lists more than 400,000 sheets from every period of European and North American draughtsmanship and print graphics from the 12th to the 21st century.
Visitors may inspect works from our collection in the Studiensaal (Study Hall) on request.
HOW TO GET HERE
The Study Hall Is Open
Mondays from 2 to 5 pm
Tuesdays to Thursdays
10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm
Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm
Tuesdays from 10 am to 12.30 pm there is an assessment (no valuation) of up to five graphic works per visitor (except during Bavarian school holidays).
During Bavarian summer and Christmas holidays the Study Hall will remain closed.

The Photothek is the archive of reproductions of the SGSM’s collection, which exist to a certain extent in digital form. It is possible to order photographs here.
